Question

Form 8960 for a Trust not picking up expenses from page 1 of Form 1041

Reviewing my Form 1041 for a trust.  Not initial or final return.

Deductions on page 1 for taxes (state income tax) and accounting fees not pulling over onto Form 8960.

Income taxes are not a "Misc itemized deduction" on a 1040, so that should not be an issue with a trust return.

Question: How to pull them onto the form 8960?   Is there a "forms mode" I can switch into?

Thank You!

in reviewing how the ProSeries program works (also a Intuit product) and reading the IRS instructions, I suspect it's a field to be manually populated as only state taxes and no foreign taxes or.  sales taxes can be placed on form 8960.  I am surprised there is no commentary from TT in its program

line 9c is the misc. line so since all misc deductions are not deductible through 2025, it's a challenge to put anything here. The accounting fees would have to be directly attributable to the investment and not fees for other purposes to be deductible

Thanks NCperson.  I did find the "forms" view so I can plug it in if need be.  Perhaps another user has run into this.
