Question

"Form W2: Box 12 code S-- Should not be greater than the value in box 12 with code S for this W2." In my W2 and the box the numbers are the same. What do I need to fix?

Under the statement, there is a box where I can put in the amount on my W2 and then under that is my actual W2 where the only thing I can edit is the amount. However, both numbers are the same and when I try to change one or the other, even just by one cent to see what would happen, it just changes the number in the other box. Hopefully that makes sense and someone has encountered something similar.

We are aware that some of our customers are having issues with a "Check This Entry" message involving Form W2 Box 12, Code S.   Please click here to sign up to receive an email notification when this issue has been resolved.

In the meantime, a workaround for this issue is to round your numbers to the nearest dollar and not include the decimal/cents.
