You cannot e-file an extension request online now.  The national deadline to do that was May 17.   The only way you can request an extension now is by mail.

An extension gives you more time to prepare and file your Form 1040.   It does not give you more time to pay your 2020 tax due---which is supposed to be paid by midnight June 15, 2021.
