Getting error 70001......How to run TT2024 Business/Trust and TT2024 Premier at the same time?

In the past we have always ordered the versions that came on CD, installed them on the same computer and used Premier for our personal taxes and another purchased copy of Business/Trust for the family trust and have never had a problem in the past with having both instances running at the same time so we can run the numbers on both returns open at the same time.

Fast forward to this year and now CD version are no longer available, so we purchased the downloadable versions.  Installed and updated both but now we are unable to run both versions at the same time as in years previous and get the dreaded  "Error 70001 "TurboTax is already running under another account."

Any technical solutions to solve this problem?

Please try these steps:

  1. Restart TT
  2. Run as admin
  3. Reset internet connection
  4. Check firewall setting
  5. Updating Windows
  6. Reinstall TT

Already tried every steps listed in the link above, still nothing. Administrator or regular user mode, safe mode or administrator mode, nothing work. TurboTax, it is in your court....

I am in the same boat. Always use TT Business and Premier together on same computer for years. First time bought downloaded version, and now after paying both versions, I am locked out with error code 70001 and unable to do anything. I am pretty good in even using safe mode boot up, registry editing, but not in this TurboTax version. Since there is NO support at all, calling in is useless. I am awaiting if TurboTax will actually post a FIX, if NOT, refund my purchase. I am a TurboTax user since turboTax started, and this is getting on my very last nerve especially when you are also dealing with doing taxes.

I right clicked on both TT icons on the desktop and changed the permissions for them to both run as administrator and that has fixed the problem for me......
