Question

Getting error in NJ state return on gross/cost data for certain investment sales. Data was imported into Turbotax, no issues with federal. no manual entries in state.

What is the error that you receive? Also, at what point in the return are you at when you get the error?

error message appears when performing final check on state return.  No issues were found on federal return. Looks like entries being flagged are those with loss.

It shows you as using Turbo Tax online, but if you happen to be using the desktop version please follow the instructions here to update the software.
