Getting Transmission failed: FAILED_VALIDATION trying to file Virginia

Trying to efile Virgina return. Was able to transmit Federal. I am using Turbotax Premier 2023 for Mac Desktop. I have Virginia return installed. Error says there is an update available, but my software is up to date.

Yes, this error means the program needs to be updated. Sometimes with a Mac, the update needs to be done manually.

Please try to following troubleshooting steps:

Make sure you're running the program from the Applications folder, not from a mounted virtual drive or CD.
Wireless connections can be problematic. We recommend updating over a wired, broadband connection, if possible.
If you don't have access to broadband, try rebooting your wireless router.
Empty the Trash.
Force the update to download and install.
If you're still having problems, turn off your computer, then your router, and lastly your modem, in that order.
Wait a minute or two, then turn your modem back on.
Wait another minute, then turn your router back on.
Once your router is back up, turn your computer back on and try updating again.

Hi respectfully, the software is updated. I am running it from Applications, the trash is empty. I even installed it (from Amazon download) on a second laptop that has never had a turbotax product on it. Did all the updates , downloaded Virginia and it says it's up to date. And even from that laptop I get the same message when transmitting. 3 Federal returns have been fine, only Virginia state efile won't go through.

Here are several troubleshooting steps that you can try:

If you are using a downloaded version, uninstall and reinstall the program from your MyDownloads folder. How do I find my TurboTax for Windows software download?
If that doesn't help, or you downloaded TurboTax from a CD, try a manual update. What is a manual update?
Turning off your VPN and anti-virus software during the update can help as well.

This is a downloaded version on a Mac, not Windows. I have freshly installed it on a computer with no prior Turbo Tax versions, run all the updates. It says it is up to date. 3 Federal efiles went through successfully, but only Virginia state I am getting the error.
