Question

Good afternoon! My name is Mike. Maybe I am being naive but I made less than 25K and I still owe money? I am single and have no dependents?

we can't see your return which leaves two possibilities.

1) you made an entry error - recheck everything

2) you did not have enough tax withheld on the taxable portion of your income so you owe.

Your standard deduction if you are single and cannot be claimed as someone else's dependent is $12,550.   So anything above that amount can be taxed.  If you did not have enough tax withheld from your paychecks then it is possible for you to owe federal or state tax.      Was there an amount in box 2 of your W-2?   Did your employer withhold federal tax?   What about box 17---was state tax withheld?
