Good morning! This question might seem dumb, but I will ask anyway. The IRS rejected my federal return because they said I put the wrong AGI. I typed what I see on my last year’s return. Now will

No question is dumb, you would have to mail in your return.  Make sure you sign your return.  The mailing address for your Federal return, depends on what State you live in.  Go to the following website, click on your State for the address to mail your return.

https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

If you have a State return to mail, you can check your State's website for their mailing address.

------------------------------

On the AGI:

- If you filed an amended return in 2018, do not use the AGI from the amended return, use the amount from your original return.

- If you filed a joint return in 2018, make sure you enter the full amount, do not split it

- You can also try entering a Zero for your 2018 AGI, sometimes that works.

when e-File fails your only option is to print sign and file via US Mail.

You have to handle that, only you can sign the paper form 1040.
