I have already filed my state and federal returns but was not given the option for Grand Rapids city taxes. Is there a way to complete them using the online program now?

Yes.  You can use TurboTax to prepare your Grand Rapids city tax return.

Since you have already completed your MI return, to get back into your return after printing or e-filing, please follow these steps:

  1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
  2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
  3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
  4. Select 2019, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).
  5. Once you're in your return, you can navigate around as usual.

To prepare the city return:

  1. Go back into your MI return.
  2. On the screen, Michigan taxes are ready for us to check, click the Edit box next to Other Situations.
  3. On the screen A few things before we wrap up your state taxes, click on the Start/Revisit box next to Michigan City Tax Returns.
  4. TurboTax will ask you if you live or work in any of the cities that have local income taxes. Mark the box for Grand Rapids (if it isn't already marked].
  5. Continue through the screens, entering the requested information.
  6. At the end you will be given mailing instructions for your city tax return.

I followed the instructions and got to the page with the mailing instructions but what am I supposed to be printing off and mailing in?

You need to print and mail your city tax return by following the instructions here.
