H&R Block file transfer to Turbo Tax

I completed my 2021 taxes using H&R Block only to realize that they DID NOT SUPPORT FORM 8915 F and it won't let me override the number - so its not letting me efile. So I called Turbo Tax and they support that form and also said I could transfer the H&R file if its saved in PDF to Turbo Tax. I paid 120.00 for the Turbo Tax home and bus program and its NOT letting me import my H&R file. Needless to say I'm upset. Please someone help me figure out how I can upload the H&R file into Turbo Tax.

Sorry you misunderstood or support did. You can only TRANSFER a prior year return into Turbo Tax.. Not open or import to the same year. You will have to do Turbo Tax starting new. And even if you transferred from a pdf it would only transfer the basic info like your name and ssn and AGI, not everything.

I also tried importing 2020 to see what would happen and I got the same error message.

and I spent a lot of time on the phone telling them my situation. And that it was a current year return etc. the girl even checked with her boss and they told me it was doable.

and it it’s not password protected or encrypted. And it is a PDF file.

If you used HR Block for 2020 do you have the data file for it? Not the pdf. Try that file. Here's the FAQ to Transfer into Windows

Thank you. I tried all of that. It just tells me sorry we can’t upload but we can help you fill it out manually. The whole point was the get it uploaded since the return is pretty much done except that one form.

Are you sure HR Block doesn't have that form? Seems odd. But sorry you can't move a current year into Turbo Tax. Only transfer from the prior year to start a new return.

Yes I called them also. It’s form 8915 F. They had it last year and seems like they purposefully removed it. BUT if I give a local office my return they have the form in their system and can input everything and efile it for like 360.00. It’s crazy. TT has it but I have to Re-input everything since I cant transfer 😭😭. I think I might file manually since return is complete except that one form I’ll just do manually.
