Have allocated income to both states & I have applied the credit for taxes paid to state 1 on state 2 tax return. Can I apply credit for taxes paid to state 2 to state1?

State 2 has limited the amount of paid tax credit I could apply from State 1. Can I apply the amount above the limitation back to state 1?

If you work in one state and live in another you do your non-resident state first. It will post the taxes paid to you resident state.

You do not post anything from your resident state to your non-resident state.
