Have not been able to install Deluxe 2021 MS PC tax software

After entering license code for 2021 Deluxe, TT said there was a problem; listing about 6 possible issues. The phone number for help that displayed was [phone number removed]. Is this a legitimate number? Contractor had me turn over computer to search for malware, trojans. Then gave me a pitch to upgrade my antivirus software. My question is:  Is the number, outside contractor who said they ae located in Wyncote, PA. Is this all on the level?

A possible issue is that about 6-weeks ago I downloaded a free copy of Premier which was offered by one of my investment firms. Other than supplying preliminary info, I have not used it and purchased Deluxe. Perhaps, I should uninstall Premier. I advised the investment firm of my intent.

Thanks for getting back. To succeed at finally getting to work on my 2021 taxes, I went the other direction by using my free copy of Premier which I had received several weeks ago compliments of Fidelity's recent offer.  Thus, with time to file hanging over my head, Deluxe, which I purchased, will gather dust.

 

For the first time that I can recall, I'm signing into TT by going into a recent TT email to me that prompts us to click in the email to acquire the sign-on to get us moving to start working on our return. This is a real pain as I don't have the time to work on that shortcoming.

If you are planning to use the TurboTax Deluxe version, you could try deleting the Premier version to resolve this issue.

I don't understand.  You don't need to sign into Turbo Tax to use the Desktop program.  Did you get Premier downloaded and installed and Activated with the 16 digit License Code?  It sounds like you are in the Online version and not your program.

 

If you see s black menu bar going down the left side that is the Online version.  

If the free Premier was for the Online version I would switch and use your Deluxe Desktop program.  The Desktop program has more features than the Online version.
