I had a 1099R for a rollover but had no income for 2024 (went back to college full time), do I need to file federal and state taxes?

It doesn't sounds like you have any income or filing requirement. Always best to be safe, take a quick quiz with the IRS, Filing requirement - Do I need to file a tax return? You could have scholarship income or something else you aren't mentioning.

Thanks for that info. Ran through the link and I don't have to file.

You can just leave your account as is.   After tax season, everything will be cleared out and you can use the same account to sign in and prepare your 2025 tax return if you need to.
