Haven't received PUA tax form. How to proceed with taxes?

Due to some complications with my PUA account that I'm trying to have resolved, I haven't received my 1099-G form. The end date for filing taxes is soon, and I still don't have anything. What should I do? Should I wait to file my PUA taxes until I receive it? Will there be a penalty in doing so? I've already had my taxes deducted from the benefits I received previously, also. Thank you.

Yes, you should wait to receive all the income forms including the PUA 1099G.  You can file for an extension of the filing time, but not the payment due date.  You need to file the extension by 17 May.

If you expect to owe taxes based on what you know at this time, then you can send in a payment with your extension to mitigate any late payment fees.

If you send in a payment you will enter that payment in the "Deductions & Credits" tab.

Scroll down to "Estimates and other taxes paid"

"Start/revisit" the "Income taxes paid" topic

"Start/revisit" the "Payments made with 2020 Extension" topic
