Are you logged in as an administrator on your computer?  If not, this could be the source of the problem.  Maybe you are trying to save to a folder that only has administrator permissions.

To remedy this you can access your return from an administrator account or you can change the present account you're in to an administrator account.  Refer to the section titled, "Change a local user account to an administrator account"," in the following link:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account

I'm having the same issue on my Mac computer.  Is there a fix?

It appears that TurboTax fails to request "full disk access." You have to go into System Preferences / Security & Privacy and give TurboTax full disk access. I don't know why it's allowed to initially create the file but then never update it, but that aspect is probably an Apple issue.

Having issues saving files on Mac.  I checked all the permissions and they look good.

You are commenting on an older thread that may have outdated information.  Also, we will need additional information to assist you further.  Are you getting any error messages or does it just not save the file?
