Scenario: wife is self-employed and receiving healthcare ACA premium subsidy. I, husband, receive healthcare through Medicare and Medigap supplement. We file jointly. Using 2024 turbotax deluxe download, i do not see how/where to enter our combined healthcare premium total and link that to my wife’s business. It appears that only her information (i.e. premiums) as per the 1095-A are used to calculate the self-employed healthcare deduction entered on Schedule 1.

You cannot deduct your Medicare and Medigap premiums as Self-employed healthcare deduction, because the Medicare and Medigap policy is not in the name of the self-employed person (your spouse) or her business.

The IRS says in this document page 1:

For self-employed individuals filing a Schedule C (Form 1040) or F (Form 1040), a policy can be either in the name of the business or in the name of the individual.
