Question

Hello, I have a question regarding the EV car tax credit. I purchased a preowned Nissan Leaf 2016 in 2023, thinking that I would be qualified for the tax credit. Right?

Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.

Many federal and state forms are not yet available.  Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

Tax form availability tool,

No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29.   And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.

I'm having a similar problem, and I followed the form availability document that you provided, it appears that the form 8936 for Clean Vehicle Credits won't be available until Feb 21st of this year? is that correct?

That is the date that they are providing currently.  It can change if they get to it sooner so keep checking back.
