Hello! I'm from Europe and was working in the US for 5 months only during 2017. and I did not have health insurance. How do I know if i qualify for an exemption? Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no provision for that circumstance. The exemption that applies to being out of the country is listed among the following. Check to see if another exemption applies to you.

Are you a US Citizen or Green Card Holder?  Or are you married to a US Citizen or Green Card holder?
If not, what type of visa did you have (if any) and were you in the US at all in 2015 or 2016 (if so, exactly how many days each year)?

My point is that you may be a Nonresident Alien.  If that is the case, you are NOT subject to the healthcare requirement, AND you can NOT use TurboTax.

Oh, I see. What about an option that I can't aford insurance? For 5 months only i was working and earning 1800$per month? Thank you so much!
