Question

Hello, I should have qualified for free file because I made less than 34,000. I was charged 100 for filing federal and being charged another 50 for state.

You were not in the correct product   The TurboTax IRS Free File Program is at a separate website, apart from regular Online TurboTax.   You ended up using Online Deluxe, which is a paid product.

 

Have you paid or not?  You only said "charged", so it's not clear.

 

If you haven't actually paid, we can help you get into the correct product by switching to the TurboTax IRS Free File Program.

 

If you have already paid, then phone TurboTax Support and tell them what happened.  Tell them you qualified for the TurboTax IRS Free File Program due to your income but ended up using the wrong product, and see if they will work with you.

 

Since you were charged for Deluxe, you do have phone support.
