Question

Hello my state taxes are asking for information off of a D400 or D422 form? I have no idea what that is or why it is populating. What do I do?

TurboTax needs information from your 2019 North Carolina income tax return to compute an underpayment penalty for your 2020 state return.

 

Find your 2019 Form D-400 and possibly D-422 and enter the numbers TurboTax is asking for. If you did not save a copy of your 2019 return, you can download a copy from your TurboTax account.

 

If you don't have the information, say No on the screen Underpayment Interest and TurboTax will use the calculated interest.
