Question

Hello. Why is the Form 2210 in TurboTax Deluxe not showing Estimated Tax payment values as I entered them earlier in the software?

(This is for Tax Year 2021. I made 4 estimated tax payments for 2021 but TurboTax populates this information incorrectly on Form 2210.)

Taxpayers can use Form 2210 to figure their penalty and to include it on their return. There are some situations in which you must file Form 2210, such as to request a waiver.

Double check your entries to make sure that the Estimated Tax Payments were entered correctly on your tax return.

To enter/ revisit Estimated taxes paid (Federal, State, Local)

  • Go to Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Deductions and Credits
  • Select I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
  • Click Start or update next to Estimates.

Your 2021 estimated tax payments and any amount applied from 2020 return will end up on your 1040 form line 26.

I'm having this same trouble.   I see the 2210 won't be ready until Feb 24.   I'm waiting until then to see if it works better.
