Help! It's been almost a year...

So I sent in an amended tax form with my S corporation but something got screwed up along the way. I know I've lost the amended year for 2019 (because you can go back 3 years and amend under S corp) but if I start a new S corp and let the old one die, would that be something I can do, ignore the 2019 and send in amended tax return for 2020, 2021 and 2022? Essentially just let the old LLC die, start new LLC and new S corp?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can change any of the information on the returns that you filed starting in 2020.  2019 is technically already dead.

So you can alter the information on your 2020 return but you can't create a new company out of it.  A new company would not be an amended return - it would be a new return.

But if you just change the information on your 2020 return you can disregard the 2019 return and adjust whatever you need to adjust.
