For 2023 I filed in illinois, although i lived in iowa (these states have reciprocity) and now i owe illinois taxes when i didn’t have to file in illinois. what do i do??

Follow these steps:

You must file your resident return and pay taxes on all income.
File an amended IL return claiming zero income to get a refund of withheld money. Do not pay!
File IL-W-5-NRwith your employer so this won't keep being a problem.
