Hey I only got $49 back this year. I have no dependents to claim. I claim 0 all year what can I do to get more refund back next year?

If you want to have more tax withheld from your paychecks and give the government an interest free loan all year, you can do that, and then then your refund will be more next year.  Or you can be happy that you came out almost "just right" and did not owe.   Tax refunds come from having more tax withheld than you owe to the government, or from receiving refundable credits.

As the previous stated. If you think you will need extra taken out next you can file for an extra amount taken out (In my case I have $5.00 extra a month). as in my case it came in handy as 2 places that I worked at last year didn't take enough out.
