Hi, Guys. I am a little confused I was asked to check an entry on my tax form. My 12 year-old is not showing as a dependent just my 7 year old. I'm a single mom. Thx.

I would like to know if I should change the filing status because it is blocked from me selecting her as a dependent. I look forward and appreciate your feedback.

"because it is blocked from me selecting her as a dependent." What is blocking you from selecting a dependent? What screen are you on (what is the heading at the top of the screen)?

Did your 12-year-old live with you more than half the year? Did you enter a valid SSN for the 12-year-old?
