Question

Hi, I missed place my IP Pin number as a result by return is being rejected. IRS is closed and their website to retrieve the IR pin is not working.

Unfortunately, if the IRS IP PIN website is not working and you cannot find your IP PIN, you will need to paper-file. According to the IRS, they'll subject your paper return to additional screenings to validate your identity, delaying any refund you may be due.

Thanks for your reply. It looks like I will have to paper file my taxes. I am planning to send a copy of my birth certificate, bank statement, and ID card. Never filed my taxes by mail before what other documents should I send, also how long will it take for them to process my return.
