Hi I thought I read that if you made under a certain amount the IRS will check your taxes before February?

Will IRS check lower income taxes before February?

No, the IRS does not accept or process low income people's returns first.    Nor is it "first in, first out".   Not sure what is confusing you about this.   If you are getting earned income credit    (which goes to lower income folks) or additional child tax credit  the PATH act requires the IRS to hold those refunds until mid-February.

It's a pretty level playing field this year.  The IRS will not begin to accept/reject or process 2020 returns until February 12, 2021.
