How can I add my child as a dependent if I didn’t add him on my w4 or w2 when I started working?

Your W-4 does not dictate how you file your tax return. It just tells your employer how much tax to withhold from your paychecks. If you are claiming a dependent go to My Info to enter the dependent's information.
