How can I ask turbo tax to send in my 1040 and other forms without asking Turbotax to fill out all the forms?

Not sure what you are trying to do or expecting from TurboTax.   If you want to e-file using TurboTax then you need to use the software to prepare your tax return.    If your return is a very very simple one that only requires a Form 1040 you can use the Free Edition; otherwise you have to pay for a higher version.   There is not a way for you to upload an already prepared tax return and have TT just e-file it for you.

When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return.  You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return.  The state e-file fee is $19.99 and increases in March.
