How can I claim my child born in 2000 for 2018 if they had a job and filed individually?

The child needed to indicate that he or she was being claimed as a dependent on someone else's return. See the screenshot below for reference. Otherwise, your return will be rejected. 

If your return has already been rejected, then your child will need to file an amended return and you will be required to paper file your return.
