How can I complete my state taxes without filing electronically and having to pay another $50?

From the online version the state code is for the use of the software to prepare the state return.  There is no additional cost to e-file state.    The cost is the same whether you mail file or e-file.  (The CD/download version is different and e-filing state is extra.)
