How can I fix my return if my ex has included our sons ssn on his return? he didn't claim as dep but my retrn was rejected as the same ssn was also on my ex's return.

If your son's SSN was on your ex-husband return, it does mean he claimed him as a dependent, maybe unintentionally. He will have to amend his return and delete your son information, or mark him Not a dependent this year. Otherwise, you can still file your return and claim your son, but you won't be able to e-file that and will need to print it and mail to the IRS with attached explanation what happened. Your refund will be delayed because the IRS will need time to investigate your case.
