How can I get my home exemption when TTax said I did not qualify?

I bought the house on 8/1/2012 and sold it on 8/1/2016. I entered all the information asked for and answered yes if I had lived there 2 years. TTax said I did not qualify and asked if I wanted to keep the info. I said foolishly no and TTax removed that section which I now want back. How do I get it back and persuade TTax that I do qualify for the exemption?

Enter the words Home Sale in the Find box in the upper right

and hit enter

then select the Jump To that appears below.

You can start your entries again.  If you said you lived in the house for two years prior to sale and that you owned it for two years, and showed a profit, you should qualify.  Just go slowly and answer carefully.  It's getting late and we all get tired.

thank you for your answer. that takes me back to where I can enter review the house I sold but jumps past where I can enter the original purchase. do I have to CLEAR and start over?
