The self-select pin is a 5 digit number that you used last year to file your taxes.  It is not recorded anywhere unless you wrote it down somewhere.  When you are filing (for identification purposes), you will need to provide either the self-select pin you used last year OR last year's AGI number.

To sign this year's return, you make up a 5 digit pin (that you will need next year).  You can use the same self-select pin each year or create a new one.
