You said "average gross income", but was that a misnomer?  I presume you mean "adjusted gross income" (AGI).

 

Why do you need the 2017 AGI?  What are you doing that requires it?

 

You can get it by looking at your 2017 return.  Was it prepared in Online TurboTax?  If so, we can tell you how to find the 2017 return.   Another option would be a free 2017 tax return transcript from the IRS website.

Why do you want the 2017 AGI?   Are you preparing a 2018 return?  If so, a 2018 return has to be prepared in desktop software (CD/download), and it cannot be efiled.  It has to be printed, signed, dated, and mailed, so a 2017 AGI would not be needed.   So it's not clear why you were asking.

 

Hopefully, you're not trying to prepare a 2018 return in Online TurboTax by mistake.  Online TurboTax is only for a 2019 return.
