Question

How can I verify what bank account information is on file from 2018 tax filing in Turbotax for the CARES act stimulus check? If on file with Turbotax does that count?

I am not sure where to look in Turbotax to find out if I have bank account information in Turbotax for my 2018 taxes.  I have not filed for 2019 and plan to wait until June to file since I owe taxes.

You do not need to worry.

 

In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
