If you do not need to file a Form 14039 you can delete it. Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on how to delete a form.

Please see below for additional information on Form 14039.

"Description for this copy of Form 14039" may refer to the reason for filing in Section A. One reason why this form is used would be to obtain an IP PIN. Click the Form 14039 link to see a blank copy of this form.

  • Once your identity is verified with the IRS and you have received an IP PIN and added it to your return, you could still e-file. See: How do I get my 6-digit IP PIN?
  • To add the IP PIN in TurboTax, follow these steps:
    • Inside TurboTax, search for IP PIN (don't forget the space) and then select the Jump to link in the search results.
    • On the Identity Protection PIN screen, answer Yes and enter your IP PIN in the space provided.
