No, you do not need to add a W-2 for your son to the return that you and your wife are filing. He needs to file a separate return.

The rules for the Healthcare Marketplace and income are to include your MAGI (modified adjusted gross income). The instructions say that "It's not a line on your tax return". You would add the income together for every member of the household who's required to file a tax return.
