How do I apply my 2024 overpayment to my 2025 estimated tax?

My overpayment is $6,650, my first quarter estimated payment is approximately $3,300. How can I apply a portion of my overpayment to cover my first quarter estimated payment?

    Yes you can apply all or part of your refund to estimated taxes for next year.

     

    Open TurboTax

    1. Scroll down to Other Tax Situations
    2. Select Additional Tax Payments
    3. Choose Apply Refund to Next Year.
    4. Continue through the interview.
