How do I cancel my TurboTax Deluxe subscription? It got upgraded by mistake.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2018 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

I filed my taxes got rejected and when fixed the ERR the program prompt to the DELUX and doesn't make sense to pay on top of taxes that I need to pay

It depends.

Are you saying you had to upgrade to file your tax return?

If so, your tax return required additional forms that were not included in the version you started off in. The forms are required to file a complete return.
