How do I check the status of my federal tax payment due to the IRS? I set up direct payment from my bank account and only my state tax bill has been paid.

You can view the date you elected to have the payment deducted by following the instructions below: 

1. View your tax return (From the Tax Home, Select Add a State as a workaround to access the return)
2. Click Tax Tools on the left-hand side, then click Print Center
3. Click Print, save or preview this year’s return.
4. Click Federal Returns > Include government worksheets
5. Find the Federal Information Worksheet. Under Part V – Direct Deposit or Direct Debit Information, the direct debit date and balance-due will show under the Bank Routing and Account number.

If the date has passed, you would need to click here in order to contact the IRS to check if the amount has been credited to your IRS account.
