Use the recovery rebate credit on your 2020 return to get the 2nd check,   There is no place to "claim" the 3rd check on your 2020 return.  The IRS issues those 3rd checks separately on its own timeline---they are sending out the checks in phases.

The stimulus check is an advance on a credit you can receive on your 2020 tax return.  If something went wrong or you did not get the stimulus check in 2020, you can get it when you file your 2020 return in early 2021

The Recovery Rebate Credit will be found in the FEDERAL REVIEW section. ( you should see "Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount”)  If you are eligible it will end up on line 30 of your 2020 Form 1040.

Make sure that you enter ALL of the stimulus money received for the 1st and 2nd stimulus for yourself, your spouse and your children.

TurboTax cannot track your 3rd stimulus or tell you when it will arrive.  The IRS is issuing 3rd stimulus checks on its own timetable.

You can use the IRS Get My Payment site to see what is expected for your 3rd stimulus check:

Yes, Any missing payments from rounds one and/or two that you are eligible for based on the information in your 2020 tax return will be added to your tax return as a Recovery Rebate Credit.

During the "Federal Review" section after entering your income and deductions sections on your tax return you will be asked about your stimulus payments.  Be sure to click the "Federal Review" tab at the top of the page if you are not automatically taken there before filing your return.

You can also use the "Search" function and type in "Stimulus" and click "return/enter" and then select the "Jump to..." link at the top of the results to go to the stimulus questions.

You will be asked if you received any payments in rounds one and/or two. If you answer, "Yes" you will have to opportunity to enter the amounts received in each round (1200/600 for single filers).  Any amounts received will reduce the Recovery Rebate Credit on your tax return.

Here is a link with more information on the Recovery Rebate Credit.

Your 2020 tax return once processed will establish your eligibility for the third round payment (1400) as well.  That payment will be sent separately from your tax refund.

Go here for more information on the third round payment.

You can track your third round payment using the Get My Payment tool.
