How do I continue filing if there is no locality name on my w-2 and it won’t let me continue without it?

If there is nothing reported in boxes 18-20 of your W2, be sure you do not enter anything in TurboTax. Delete any zeroes entered into the software. This may be causing the error.

Does your W-2 show local taxes paid in box 19? If so, do you know what locality those taxes were paid to? You can enter it there.

Your employer may need to provide this information to you if you don't have it.

My employer doesn’t require local taxes to be taken out because I work for IHSS and live with my clients.
