How do I continue my 2019 tax declaration in TT? We purchased deluxe version in 2020 but can only file now for various reasons. Software does not allow continuation

We started our 2019 declaration in 2020, purchased Turbo Tax deluxe, and filed for an extension because we needed information from abroad. We only got it now, so I want to file or at least use TT to prepare the documents to hand in via mail, but the system does not let me continue. It does not show the product as active any more. Does this need to be reactivated? I do not want to have to buy it again.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

 

Start the 2022 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

 

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download .tax file

If you purchased one of the 2019 TurboTax online editions with a credit card contact TurboTax support so they can push a 2019 installation file to your download account at no charge.

A 2019 tax return can only be printed and mailed using TurboTax, it cannot be e-filed.
