Question

How do I delete a state name from box 13 on the 1099 Div page? I need for it to be blank.

  1. Revisit the "Interest and Dividend" topic. 
  2. Edit the form 1099-Div entries. 
  3. Check the box "My form has information in other boxes." 
  4. Scroll down to box 13
  5. In the drop down menu click "Select a state"
  6. Be sure the other state boxes are empty as well
