You can use these instructions to clear a return:

Here's how to clear and start over:
Sign in to TurboTax and open or continue your return, if you haven't already.
Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Clear & Start Over.
Answer Yes to confirm.

You can clear it and then abandon TurboTax if you are not going to use it. There is no way to cancel your TurboTax account.

Then you never signed onto the online account.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
