How do I delete my account?

I accidently created a second account and re-accessed my previous account which has my filing history. How do I delete my second account? I've only realized it wasn't the same after almost completing my taxes for this year and so I have entered sensitive information.

An account cannot be deleted, cancelled or merged with another account. You can clear the account and leave it inactive.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return. Click on My Account at the top of the program screen while working on the 2016 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over. Exit the account and it will remain inactive.

Ok thanks. I would like to publicly voice my displeasure with this policy - the fact that I can't delete potentially sensitive information about me. I was past registering so that data is permanently tied to 2 accounts now, doubling my attack surface area. Certainly my mistake, but the fact that this account now lives in perpetuity tied to sensitive information about me is aggravating.
