How do I delete my unfiled TurboTax online return?

I chose to submit my taxes through a different service but my Turbo Tax application was in progress, however NOT filed, submitted or the service paid for. How do I delete my return and information? This info from last year doesn't seem to apply anymore as I don't see "Tax Tools" anywhere.

I hope this helps. I have used Turbotax since 2001 including paid and free versions. I primarily use HOME & Business but i am familiar with pretty much all flavors. Look at my attached screenshot. i don't know why tax tools doesn't appear but thru it you should simply go delete forms and you're done. If Tax Tools doesn't appear you could try search "Tools Center". If it loads it will bring you to the screen showed. Note you still won't be able to delete Federal Information Worksheet. Good luck!

Once you sign into your TurboTax account you should see "Tax Tools" at/near the bottom of the left hand menu. You can try "Clear and Start Over," but if that doesn't work just delete all the forms and worksheets individually under the "Delete a Form" option.

Thanks both of you @DMarkM1 and @watashi for your suggestions. However I still do not see Tax Tools. This is what I see on the left menu. Note that a) I am using the Canadian version and b) I chose the Standard option to begin with but have not paid the fee for it as I did not file through TurboTax, not sure if that makes a difference.

Any advice?

Here's how I deleted mine:

Open return. Click File. Move to...Trash. Check Trash to see if it's there, then Empty Trash.

If you'd like to clear any data that you may have entered into the program, you can use the "Clear and Start Over". To delete all your tax information from TurboTax follow these steps.

If you haven't already done so, sign in to your TurboTax account and select the Take me to my return button.
On the welcome back screen, in the left-side menu, select Tax Tools, and then Clear & Start Over (select the menu icon in the upper-left corner if you don't see this menu).
Answer Yes in the pop-up to confirm.

You can not delete or merge accounts.

@ldrichey If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2024 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
