You cannot enter a foreign phone number in TurboTax.  You can leave the field blank or you can enter the phone number of a relative or friend in the U.S,, or a "dummy number" (800-555-1212). This will allow you to complete your return, and the IRS will identify your entry as a placeholder number - if they have questions, they will mail them to you."  The IRS does not call taxpayers anyway.

Please note that you will need a US credit card with a US billing address to pay for TurboTax.

two questions, why then do i get a selection of countries in the area of phone numbers?

If i use a dummy number it still wants to send a code to that number ...

I need a real solution since i've tried working on this for hours.

You have commented on a post that is old and may have outdated information.

You can still utilize a dummy number, but you might try to disable the Two Factor Identification so you won't receive codes on your phone.  Please see the Help Article here for more instructions on how to do this.

If this does not resolve your issue, please post back here.
