To enter a Social Security Number (SSN) instead of an Employer Identification Number (EIN) on the entry screen for Form 1099-MISC, check the box under "Who Paid You?"

The first choice is for EIN, and the second is for SSN (see screenshot below - click to enlarge).

If you're working in Forms Mode (TurboTax for Desktop only) directly on the 1099-MISC worksheet, enter the SSN in the space provided (screenshot #2).
